Banana Days Scavenger Hunt - search for clues hidden in 1967 bananas all over the mountain & in Snowmass village
50th Anniversary Golden Gala with original film debut at The Viceroy - honouring those who have made Snowmass what it is today the gala is a celebration with pioneers & original residents telling tales of the old days.
Sunday Dec 17:
Vintage-themed skiing / riding with special modern remake of the 1970s classic "Cabin Jump" & local riders show off their modern skills in the "Rail Jam"
On mountain community picnic at The Spider Sabich Picnic & Race Area
Season long festivities, so you don't miss out on the fun:
Look out for the new gold signs, complete with the 50th anniversary logo, marking the original trails on the mountain
Learn about Snowmass' unique history from the mammoths to the Ute indians to early settlers & of course the progress of the current resort, with this historical mountain tour. Meet daily at 10.30am at the Top of Sams knob or 1.30pm at trail map outside elk camp for your tour.
