Breckenridge to upgrade Colorado Super chair & renovate Peak 9 restaurantBreckenridge new lift

Breckenridge ski resort's Colorado Super Chair is peak 8’s most popular lift & will be upgraded to a 6 pack chairlift from a 4 person chair, increasing capacity by 30% for the 2014 / 2015 Winter season. Skiers will find it easier to access the surrounding peaks, spread out faster & provide a quicker way to get from the new Peak 6 and 7 over to peak 9 base area & into town.

The Peak 9 restaurant is having a complete make-over inside with a new kitchen, plus renovation of the dining room, making it a warm & inviting place to dine overlooking the mountains at 11274 elevation. Click here for more on Breckenridge ski resort.


Beaver Creek new combo gondola & chairlift

Beaver Creek new lift

Beaver Creek is replacing the Centennial Express lift the primary lift out of Beaver Creek Village with a new combo gondola / 6 person express chairlift for the 2014 / 2015 ski season. There will be one gondola cabin for every 5 chairs, perfect for beginners who don’t want to worry about getting off a chairlift when they are just learning to stand on their skis. It also gives a great option for those who want to warm up a bit or just rest their feet! Vail resorts announced a new partnership with Niesko Japan one of the snowiest resorts in the world, as well as renewing its partnership the 3 vallees ski area, the largest in the world and world renowned Verbier in Switzerland. Epic pass holders receive 5 consecutive free days in each resort as well as unlimited skiing & riding in top Colorado resorts Vail, Beaver Creek & Breckenridge. Skiers also have unrestricted skiing in Keystone & Arapahoe Basin, Colorado, Tahoe resorts Heavenly, Kirkwood & Northstar plus Canyons Utah.

Snowmass kick starts base village development

Snowmass new development

Snowmass base village will see the second phase of the Viceroy Hotel development in the near future. Plans are underway to start the second building comprised of luxury ski in, ski out apartments. Meetings with the community & business owners are currently taking place discussing the overall plan for the base village at Aspen /Snowmass. Aspen awarded prestigious Alpine World Cup Finals

Aspen will host the 2017 World cup finals for the men & women’s tour. Races will include downhill, super G, giant slalom, slalom & a team event. Aspen as a community has strongly supported ski racing for over 60 years and beat out competitors in Switzerland & Andorra to win the finals, the first in the USA since 1997.
