The end of 2007 will see significant progress made on the new village at the Winter Park base. Construction on a new parking facility and the first wave of slope side apartments is well underway, and preparing the way for a lively mountain village whose shops, restaurants, skating rink, and other projected attractions will enhance the Winter Park experience over the next several years.  

Perhaps the most exciting of this year's new on-mountain developments is the completion of the Panoramic Express lift. Ready to be fully operational for the 2007/8 ski season, the Panoramic Express is already making a name for itself as the highest six pack chair lift in North America. Returning visitors will undoubtedly appreciate the Panoramic Express's faster, more efficient access to the former Timberline area. Whisking skiers and riders to an elevation of approximately 12,060 feet, the new lift will provide access to two new intermediate runs, better tree skiing than before, and the always popular Parsenn Bowl.
